Excellent "welcome to Leavenworth" dinner; European-style seating (booths along the walls) and tasty German fare.

Excellent foodbetter staff! We sat at the cute little bar in back and had an amazing meal paired with some stellar German beers.

Really neat restaurant! I have not been to Germany, but my friends who have said the food here is very authentic.

Beautiful, cozy restaurant that makes you feel un Germany. It is in a basement level, so you have that with regard to accessibility. We were very happy to get a table right away, but better reserve or with enough time to wait. We have a sausage sampler and half a chicken and it was enough for 3 people (not recommended for 3 men, although it cannot be enough). The overall taste was very good for everything, including a strudel that we got to dessert. It's not as sweet as anyone I've tried, but it's a plus for me.

It definitely lives up to the hype, especially if you were not in the Bavarian country. I especially enjoy pork and chicken carving. Yes, it seems to be too expensive for what you get, but all these days it is much more pricier and you get not only food, but also the experience as a local and traditional German guy. The service was great and the food as I mentioned earlier. For two chicken carvings and a big pig meat we paid about $130 plus tax.
