La Tapatia Mexican Restaurant And Bar

I've never rated a restaurant online before, but I felt compelled to share my experience. This place had, without a doubt, the worst service I've ever encountered. My water glass was never refilled throughout the entire meal. I was dining with a friend who ordered flour tortillas, while I ordered corn tortillas. Instead of serving them in separate containers, they combined everything into one. I ordered a T-bone steak cooked medium. The steak was only about 3/8 of an inch thick, overcooked to the point of being boiled, and lacked any flavor. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail, which turned out to be served in a margarita glass filled with tomato juice, cilantro, avocado, and a few small, tasteless shrimp. We finished our meals and waited 15 minutes for the check before we finally went to the register. I won't be returning.

Excellent customer service every time. Their food taste amazing, great tex-mex! Better than Lupe or Chuys. Their prices are fair. I recommend it!!

Customer service is more than 5 stars, you have more than one wait staff checking on you but not in that irritating way. Not to mention DAILY DRINK SPECIALS. And Sunday Fundays are $2.50, **** Mary's( which are excellent), the hubs is a **** Mary snob, mimosas, and tequila sunrise's.... And food FANTASTIC.

My wife and I have been here before on three other occasions. For some reason, my wife likes the food here. I'm ok with it. The main issue with this place is the customer service. Each time we come in through the door, the staff do not make eye contact you or with anyone else. It takes several minutes before someone acknowledges you. When you finally sit down, It is best to order immediately because if you wait a few minutes to look at the menu, I guarantee you they will not come back. They are either overwhelmed with other customers or they forget to go back. It is also rare to find a server that actually smiles and is friendly. The ones that come to our table are either in a bad mood or they do not have any people skills. Then we have to wait 30 to 45 minutes before your food finally makes it to the table. This last time it took approximately 38 minutes. That is way too long. I don't know what else to say, but the service here is terrible. The only reason we stopped by recently is because my wife was craving mini tacos. The server got my wife's order wrong too. She never apologized, she never smiled, she was just rude. This was the worst experience. We will never come back here again. I warned all my friends to stay away from this place.

Service was terrible. My son ordered chicken fajitas and they brought steak which was dry and had no flavor. I had chicken enchiladas suizas. They were ok at best. My other sin ordered the kids crispy taco plate but wanted 2 tacos and the waitress charged us for 2 plates. Wife had menudo that she said was delicious. Also didn't like how they added 15% gratuity to my check. The service received surely wasn't deserving of that at all
