That was one of the best meals we've ever had! The brisket was incredibly moist and tender. The owner displayed trophies, which made it clear why the food was so exceptional. The potato salad and coleslaw were homemade and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was creamy but flavorful, and the corn was fresh. A plate with a quarter pound of meat, two sides, and a drink was only $9—something you wouldn't find at home! The owners came to our table several times to check on us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The place remains a favorite of mine, and I keep coming back. My family and I visit Garner State Park once a year, and going to Hillside afterward has become a cherished tradition. The bands and the brisket are fantastic, and they serve some of the best potato salad I've ever tasted.

The smoked turkey sandwich is fantastic! I appreciate the flavors that remind me of the cozy, rustic bungalows. I can’t wait to come back for more next time!
