Au 3b - Le Puy-en-Velay

Great service, good food and a very good atmosphere. We had an omelet and the Plat du jour, which was chicken drumstick. Both meals came with salad and chips and were nicely cooked. A good rosé to accompany the meal was served in an ice jacket...all with a smile.

We found this town a great place to stay with a lot of truly wonderful eating places and this was one of the many that we stopped at for coffee and patisseries

A nice quick and easy lunch in the centre of town. Homemade plat de jours (two options) described and served by the restaurant's helpful and friendly owner. €25 between two a very fair price for a good meal in a convenient location.

This is the sort of bar/restaurant that you can sit down with a drink and watch the people as they walk around the City. The plan was just to have 2 Blanche beers and then leave. However, after arriving at 11:30 we noticed how busy it was getting with locals tourists. We then decided to order lunch, which was a main salad meal. My other half had salad of pate, sliced ham, dried sausage salad and chips. I had auvergne salad which was local cheese, fried lardons and salad. Both meals came with bread. The food was good but basic. Don't except pure rustic French food. However, the owner, a Chinese chap was really, really nice. Try to spend some time talking to him as he is really friendly. We ended getting a free digestive drink : a Verveine du Puy, which is a local alcoholic beverage. Recommend the place to sit and watch the world or have a spot of lunch.

Service approximatif malgré la gentillesse du personnel. Les plats semblent préparés à l'avance et réchauffés. Le fromage du pays était de l'emmental !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bistrot typique pour touristes. Nous n'y retournerons pas.
