La Nouvelle Terrasse

We had a nice lunch here after we visited the Abbey. The service was attentive and the food was good. My gallette was beautiful, but the crème brûlée was amazing. I understand that the property is new, the new owners are happy to please customers.

This place is a complete tourist trap. I ordered a galette with eggs and ham but asked to change out the ham for salmon. Firstly it arrives with a almost raw egg (the whites were completely clear. when I asked for a cooked egg it...was snatched back by an unpleasant waitresses with a huff and a roll of the eyes, thrown in the microwave so the entire meal was overcooked and most of the gallette was inedible. Then the surprise at the bill. The egg and ham gallette is e7.50. I fully expected there to be supplement to swap the ham for salmon but we were charged for a salmon extranangza (cream fresh, herbs etc. which was e13 euros) plus another supplement. So an almost inedible gallette was e14 and the unpleasant waiter adamant the price was correct. Finally, when I stood up my shorts were soaking as they had hosed our chairs down just before we arrived so I had to walk around with wet clothes for half an hour.

Found the food to be average. We both ordered galettes which neither of us had had before. We looked on Google before ordering to see what a galette was, let’s just say what was put down to us didn’t resemble any the pictures of Google....The galettes were tasty enough, but they weren’t what we were expecting; they were more like savoury crepes. Service could have been better. We had to go and find our own cutlery as our waitress forgot to bring us some and couldn’t be found after bringing us our food. We also noticed another table complaining about an incorrect order which had to be sent back to the kitchen. Be warned, their bottled sparkling water is ridiculously expensive: €5.50 for 500ml! I think there are probably better restaurants on the island to have lunch at.

La vue sur la baie est top, la cuisine est satisfaisante, le rapport qualité prix est plutôt bon (pour le mont saint Michel) en revanche le service est trop rapide à peine le temps de finir Que la suite est deja la, les serveurs pousse un peu à se dépêcher c'est dommage Car on aimerait profiter plus de la vue et ne pas se presser lorsqu'on est en week-end..

Juste fait une halte pour boire un rafraîchissement. Service rapide serveuse accueillante et souriante .Belle vue sur la baie .
