It's always surprising for me to find such a poor place today! The setting is beautiful and relatively new... the location is cool on Le Croisic seaport... but .. the Langustinen are over boiled and tasteless. The mayonnaise is ****...(how hard is it to make a beautiful homemade mayonnaise? The bumps were fine. And the shells lack salt, way too much wine in the sauce etc... . The bread is either terrible or yesterday (in France?. with 120 bakeries in the neighborhood! It was a first time and the last. Too bad the place looked cool from the outside. Don't go!
Amazing food We had mussels with sauce called Air du temps, it's the best sauce we never had. The shells were so fresh, so delicious. The service is excellent. We came at 1.00 and it was very busy, but at 2.00... Pm we were made with 2 course meal. We have 2 children and they served them with our appetizers. Actually, nothing to say it was a very good experience to visit l air du temps.
Having been refused a table at the restaurant next door (perhaps because I was alone and they didn 't want to waste a table for two on one person, perhaps because of the English accent...! , I decided to try L 'Air du Temps instead. Completely to the...contrary, they were very welcoming and accommodating, despite being very busy, and were happy to find me a table. The 'Formule Moules ', consisting of Moules et frites, with a glass of wine (or cider or beer , followed by a crêpe beurre sucré was excellent, and very good value at 11,90 euros. Despite being busy, all the staff were friendly and efficient. I would most definitely go back, and would certainly recommend it.
We walked by this place on the way home from diner one night, the owner was outside and engaged us in conversation. He was very friendly and the menu looked good and was reasonably priced. We told him we would be back tomorrow. The next day we took the six mile sea side hike around the city and wound up back at the restaurant at 2:00.The owner recognized us an welcomed us back with a hardy handshake and good cheer. We sat outside and started with a wonderful goat cheese salad, then a pot full of mussels, and finished it off with a fabulous apple caramel ice cream sunday topped with out of this world whipped cream. Everything was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the service good, and the food great. It was the first time my wife had eaten mussels, now it is her favorite food. I would highly recommend this place.
