He helped us a lot, when we locked ourselves out of our guesthouse in the neighbourhood. Sit out on Place Pilori and enjoy an excellent cocktail in relaxed atmosphere! Next time we would defenitly stay in his hotel!
I noticed this old fashioned hotel and restaurant in the centre of old Le Croisic and made a bee line for it when we were going to eat in the evening. Friendly staff and a good explanation of the menus but I suspect that we arrived just at the wrong time when all their hotel guests were coming in so service was a little slow but the food and atmosphere were very good, the dining room is a traditional old fashioned room with a great feel. Good varied menu.
Very disappointed by this restaurant recommended not only by the Routard but also petit fute. The service was very disappointing and the waitresses were extremely rude. The steak was actually a rotis(roast beef) served cold covered in a wine sauce not suitable for children even though we had requested a childs menu. The chips were cold and they told us to go to a creperie if we wanted hot chips! we did not bother with the dessert for the children. The adult menu was not much better the crab had no crab and just tasted like salty mashed potato. The fish was dried out and overcooked, accompanied by a choucroute which was just cabbage cooked in water. Luckily the creme brulee was nice - we left hungy. If you are french or english do not bother with this restaurant. The creperies on the pier are far superior.
Not on the front with most of the other restaurants but well worth searching out. Very hospitable with the chef doubling up as the sommelier and attentive but not intrusive waitress service. Fantastic seafood from a varied menu, a good wine list and good surroundings
As always we loved. Paolo is so kind. Super hotel, large terrace. Good aperitif, jazz at breakfast. Well done and soon. Florence and Guilhem, the Gascons of the Gers.
