There is no kid's menu except for chicken nuggets and not much effort to accommodate. The first thing out of the waitresses mouth was that the kitchen was soon going to close (it was 13.15 in the afternoon). She had a very abrupt manner about her and when I told her that the 2nd wine (Plaisir Petite Arvine AOC Valais from the Renaissance caves ) she served us was sweet when she told us it was dry she just argued with me and said it wasn't sweet (every adult at the table thought it was sweet too). We did realize a bit later that Renaissance wines was maybe a sponsor as it was advertised on the napkins. All this to say I can't stand the mentality of arguing with the client- there were many other slightly unpleasant moments with the waitress as well- we shared a plate of gambas and she brought us one towelette and bowl to clean our hands while we were a table of 5 adults and 2 children. On the plus side there is a varied menu- tartares, carpaccios, fondues, steaks, gambas.I don't think this restaurant can ever have a steady business being so expensive and with an unpleasant waitress.
We visited Le Chat Bleu for my boyfriend's birthday. We enjoyed very attentive good service and the food was good- albeit a little on the expensive side for what it was (although everywhere in this area is!). Wine was very reasonable. A nice relaxed ambience which makes a change from Verbier. Nice mix of local meat and traditional swiss food.
Nous sommes arrivés après le rush de midi vu l état des tables mais pas de soucis nous avons été bien reçu P'tite croûte du chat bleu excellentissime Tarte tatin topIl en faut peu pour être heureux Merci j ai passé un bon moment
This is a pleasant restaurant especially on a sunny day eating outside , the food is a little limited in selection and as with a lot of local Swiss restaurants they stick with original formulae , this is ok when the ingredients are of high quality ,I had the toast tartare which I found a little too seasoned with a salad which was mainly lettuce.i think they could be a little more imaginative with the dishes on offer . I noticed in other reviews the person serving has received criticism but I found the lady that was working this Thursday lunch to be very pleasant and attentive .
