This restaurant claims to be New Mexican, authentic cuisine. I beg to differ. I was born in Albuquerque in the tramway project housing 1974. I grew up in the southwest between New mex, the San Luis Valley, Pueblo Co, Denver etc. No wood fired hats chili no home cooked beans no homemade tortillas no authentic buñuelos. There was not even any good Mexican food the only thing Mexican about the place was the employees. I get it the demographic around here is old white people mostly that like they … – show
Perfect love the food and staff I wish I could give this place 10 stars Always great our favorite place ️
Burrito was mostly tortilla. Chile verde (Spanish for “red” , was not red at all and lacked sufficient heat and flavor. Salsa was mostly tomato sauce with no real heat or tang. Whole beans were over cooked and mushy. This is not authentic New Mexican cuisine and the founder had not lived in New Mexico since 1957 according to their history printed on the back of the menu. If you want authentic New Mexican, go to New Mexico, you will not be disappointed as I was with La Puenta.
The food was greasy. The service was great but they need more servers
