My sisters and I waited in line for 20 minutes, using that time to take in the graffiti-covered walls. The wait was definitely worth it! My sisters shared a massive, 16-ounce Seismic Meersburger, while I went for an 8-ounce Meers cheeseburger. Both burgers, made from Meers' own herd of pasture-raised longhorn cattle, were grilled to perfection with an amazing crust. They were served with onion rings, fried okra, and French fries. We had no complaints about the service—our servers were attentive and friendly. Our only disappointment was not having enough room for dessert! While it’s unlikely we’ll find ourselves near Meers again anytime soon, I’m thankful for the chance to share this experience with my family!
The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is that the burgers are large and delicious. However, the fries were overly greasy, and we could smell them from three feet away. The prices were outrageous; we spent nearly $70 for two burgers, fries, and one soda. I will not be returning to this unsanitary establishment.
Next, if there are restrictions like no takeout, it would be really helpful to have a website with your hours, menu, and other important information. Only having a Facebook page just doesn’t cut it. I’d even be willing to pay for a simple GoDaddy website. Then there’s the fact that you only accept cash. Are you trying to avoid taxes? Are you the one benefiting from the ATM fees that I have to pay just to use your machine? It feels like a scam. I’ve visited places in remote areas with no electricity that still accept card payments, but not here? That’s just ridiculous. On top of all that, the ramp to enter was way too steep. It was a struggle for the people behind me using crutches. Overall, my visit felt like a complete waste of time and gas money. I’ll never know if the food is worth the trip, since you wouldn’t let me order any. Traveling with a dog makes it challenging to eat somewhere else, but you wouldn’t even allow that at your restaurant. I can’t say if my feedback will hurt your business, but I’ll definitely be telling everyone I know to skip this place. I would normally wish you a nice day, but since you ruined mine, I’ll just say thanks for nothing.
