Loaded Mac Cheese is AMAZING ? Staff is super friendly and the service is quick!

We were pleasantly surprised passing thru Lawrence, Kansas today when we stopped at Stanley James Smokehouse for a quick bite! I got the burnt ends sandwich and my husband got the brisket sandwich. I can honestly say that the burnt ends were really the best I've had...and we've eaten at Jack Stack and Snead's. My husband said the brisket was lean and tender as well. SJ Smokehouse is worth the stop. Eat in (if there's room) or pick up on the way home. Service was quick, and the place is clean. I only wish there's was one in out neck of the woods! :O)

Did not know that it was in a gas station when we found it when we were looking for food on cards and were comprehensible about rating here when we arrived, but so glad we did. mac and cheese were wonderful, sandwiches were great. only what was not brilliant was the sauce.

The food had a good taste. the bad thing was that it was part of people. especially for the price. I could give them another shot.
