Pepperjax Grill - Lawrence

I often think of PepperJax when I am driving in the Chicago suburbs looking for lunch. I would do anything to transport back to Lawrence KS for a philly cheesesteak or steak rice salad bowl. Please expand to Illinois and Indiana!

We went into the Lawrence restaurant last night about five minutes before closing. We asked if it was too late and the chef at the grill said, “no way, come in in”! He was truly very nice about it, I am pretty sure he had just cleaned his grill thinking they were finished for the night. We ordered, ate quickly to let them finish closing but they were so nice. They asked if we needed anything, how the food was etc. It was the first time to try Pepperjacks and will definitely go back. We highly recommend going there.

I always love the Philly steaks and salads here and the fries are great!!

Food was good. The first table needed wiped off. The men's restroom was trashed. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This location has not the same exceptional quality it used, and the interior has aged and looked grundgy. The staff is still busy making your sandwich and the new menu items are also great.
