Restaurant Vien Dong - Laval

The preferences were so fantastic, service great, owner was friendly. I love this place. Very recommended!!

I discovered Vien Dong online and was absolutely blown away by the delicious taste of their traditional cuisine. The exterior decor added to the authenticity of the restaurant. I had a great experience last week with a solid 4.5 rating. However, when I invited my partner for dinner and checked online, it stated they were open until 10, but when we arrived, we found out they were closed on Mondays for cleaning. The owner apologized and suggested we come back the next day. This lack of communication was frustrating, as it is a key issue in any workplace or relationship. Using COVID as an excuse seemed unconvincing and updating their hours online is the bare minimum a business owner can do. The food was excellent, but if you don't live nearby, it's not worth the drive without calling ahead to confirm their hours. I was disappointed and won't be returning.

We revisited the Vietnamese restaurant Liette and my expectations were high after our last visit. The food, service, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations by a mile. It was the best meal I've had in a while, and I am usually very critical and particular about my food. I was completely blown away by the experience.

This restaurant in Laval is a fantastic spot for Asian cuisine. The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean, the customer service is excellent, and the decor is unique with a personal touch from the couple who own it. The wall paintings are beautiful as well.

For someone who isn't a fan of spicy food, this place offered some tasty spicy noodles. There are some items on the menu that aren't spicy. The first few bites were good with some mild burning, but I was pretty much suffering towards the end....I loved that peanut sauce mixed in there (even though you can't tell by looking at it). Hot tea is on the house and this is especially good hot tea.
