Fuku Sushi - Laval

Tiny sushi resto in a strip mall with not much of an atmosphere, and staff that is sometimes difficult to understand... But folks, wherever you are getting your fish from, and whatever is in your yummy sauces - you're doing something very right here! I find their prices a bit high, and the selection is a bit repetitive - you better be into the straight nori-and-rice sushi cause that's pretty much most of what they make. But YUM - can you say tasty??

I get lunch from this place about a dozen times/month. The sushi is always delicious & very fresh which is why I rate them high. The male chef is very talented and always has my order ready in minutes; by far the fastest service I've seen in a sushi restaurant. However - decor is getting really dated, and though they try there is a bit of a language barrier. Today again soy sauce was missing from my order. Also, they are quite pricey and they don't have that big a selection compared to others. I would recommend them for a quick sushi lunch though!

Its ok I guess, I am just not too much into this type of food.

I work nearby & up until a couple years ago, I used to come here almost every day for lunch (I know... that's a lot of sushi!) Anyway... with a lot more on my plate at work now, I've had to kiss regular lunch breaks goodbye - so unfortunately I had not been able to visit since last summer (to the staff - I know you read the reviews - and today I tried explaining why you haven't seen me in a while, not sure we understood each other... but it's not your fault - keep up the good work!) I was pleased to find the sushi just as delicious as before, and service just as lighting quick! Fastest sushi takeout service ever experienced (they don't deliver though), at lunch your order is literally ready in a few minutes. Great sushi is made or ruined by its sauce (or lack of sauce) and these folk have some of the *best* I've ever had. The ingredients are super fresh too. Awesome place for takeout sushi... dining room is not for me - awkward... no background music (I really don't get restos without music) and it's pricey and not BYOW... there's too many better options nearby for, say, a sushi girls night out... but try them "to go"!

Great sushi, friendly service and affordable prices. This is not some upscale fancy restaurant. But in its category, it is very very good.
