A stunning location, but you really do need to pay the extra for a high level lake view room if you can; well worth the additional expense. A beautiful hotel in the traditional city style. My room was a little 'tired ', but then I prefer new and contemporary styling. This room was clean, had everything I needed and decor/furnishings, whilst tired, added to the quaintness of the experience. Service was exceptional in all areas of the hotel, especially bar, reception and breakfast (which was delicious). Highly recommended with lake view.

Poor value for money... Hotel is old style with carpets that are old smell bad... Paid CHF290 for triple room with an old sofa bed as 3rd bed... Coffee machine not working traffic noise from street very loud at night so could not sleep... For the high cost of a room I expected better facility...
