Bar Ristorante Agua Loca - LAURIA

We are biking in Basilicata and stopped at Agua Loca for lunch, guided by a local that we met in the center of Lauria. It seems like a popular place since most tables were occupied. The service was diligent and nice. They claimed that the ravioli were hand made, and we believed it since they were so good. Also prices were very reasonable, so excellent value for money.

The place is big and fresh and there are plent of options to choose from. The owner of the restaurant suggested the raviolli since it was a typical food from the area and then the lamb. I dream to remember those. I was a very nice place to be and to eat. I will most likely be there again.

Returning from a short holiday week, we decided to stop at this restaurant immersed in the nature of the basilicata, for a lunch outside before returning. immediately marked through the observation of the presence of a small play area for the little ones, where our daughter soi fell so you can suggest the course of the day. a moment later we also realized the presence of a certain papal rocco (xd) three tables from ours, which still has a more particular atmosphere. the restaurant itself has both outdoor and outdoor tables (where we decided to have lunch,) the appearance is quite rustic and informal and that is not at all sorry. the appetizer that we divided my husband and I was exquisite (mixed meat, mozzarella, fritters of various type, ricottina); then we took three different first, agnolotti with raw pepper for my husband, ravioloni with simple sauce for the small and shalatielli with seafood for me. the upper part were the scars, really good; excellent ravioloni; Unfortunately we must confirm our repulsion for the raw pepper that we had the opportunity to taste also to matera but that unfortunately can not only enter our gotative paradise (alias we do not like, in no way, desolate for such confirmation and we ask the veia to all the Lucans for this). Having been a stop for a food and an escape, we didn't even take the secodo to avoid falling asleep in the car (we are not used to full lunch) but obviously we didn't resist the coffee and we got the maximum surprise. we are extremely demanding with coffee, so we assumed that we would not like and instead, have arrived two beautiful excellent espresso cups, excellent processing that made us definitely fall in love with the local. the white wine of the house was delicious and I suggest it, as well as the delicious fennel that the staff offered us! As for the staff, there is only to praise the two boys who were in turn two Sundays ago, really cared for us and towards the little, at our complete disposal, despite the Sunday slap. thank the restaurant agua loca again and we hope to return soon, this time however for the seconds we recommend you to all our friends and acquaintances

Wandering around the village we decided to dine, by chance we found this restaurant. nice local with green air, friendly and courteous owners, great food and plentiful. excellent value for money highly recommend
