Chido’s Tex-mex Grill - Laurel

Came here for the first time for brunch and I'm so glad we tried this place! I got the chilaquiles and it was flavorful and had everything I wanted. The refried beans at this place is to die for. I don't know what it is, but it is just so full of umami and richness that is just addicting. The steak and eggs that my boyfriend got was a bit small, but the flavor was pretty good. The nachos definitely took us by surprise. It looked so unassuming, but it had the perfect amount of cheese and the steak tasted great on it. I loved the new take on nachos where it was 8 super large chips. The bandeja paisa is exactly what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, it's not the best I've had but it's the best I'm going to get in this area. My favorites were the steak and chicharon. The chorizo was okay and everything else was good. My boyfriends lomo saltado was again okay? but nothing special. I do really like the ambiance here. I really feel like I'm outside on the patio. I also love when there is a birthday and they sing for the guest and it just feels like a party. Service is pretty fast, obviously when they are busy it's a bit slower, but who isn't.

Chido's is my family's go-to restaurant. We always have a great time there. The guacamole con chicharron is the best! I'm not a big pork fan but it is an amazing blend of pork and guacamole. The workers are so kind and hard-working. They always make us feel welcome. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very tasty food! Menu has several options and that is appreciated. Vibe is nice but it's extremely crowded. Drinks are worth the price. Small bar area. Busser was rude and ruined the experience, kept reaching over our food...sleeve of her shirt went in my food! The hostess was amazing and very personable. I would go back for the drinks definitely. Lot's of families and large groups dining here. Parking lot is large but it was packed entirely, get there early!

I had the chicken fajitas. They came with rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, Pico, and sour cream. I always decline the sour cream because I don't like it. The food was good. I didn't eat all of it because I went at 4:00 normally don't eat dinner until 5:30/6. I would recommend this place. The service was great. The food came out quickly. I only took away one star because the salsa and chips weren't the best. I've had better.
