Toong Thong Thai Restaurant

The prices are on the expensive side compared to most other Thai places - 20 US dollars for fried rice and 22 US dollars for most of the forehead and currys. Fried rice was okay, but the Pad Kee Mow was completely from the brand! Not cooked with the usual chili and the basil (although the menu has said so), was not spicy at all (no trace of chili in the plate) and was mostly sweet and peppery (tasted a bit like the pepper sauce, which dured in the Vietnamese Beef shell). Not authentic!

The food was nice, but the customer service experience was terrible. The staff would not take a look at eye contact when I came in and stood in the middle of the restaurant for over five minutes before someone even looked at me (it's a small restaurant, so it's pretty easy to see when someone comes in, If someone comes in. Then it was taken that it takes 30 minutes, but only 50 minutes wait until the meal was ready. When meal finally came out there, I had to stand there for another five minutes, while the staff to the customers who already paid had, over, and received - again no eye contact or a recognition I stood there. After finally got a meal, realized that they had left an entree. They had their answering machine when I tried to call them to call them Let's know, and so had to return to the restaurant to complain. You definitely have to improve your customer service capabilities.

Although I was ready to be disappointed when I came in when I came in I was pleasantly surprised by the food that came out. I thought the prices on the menu were preferred as a few other Thai places in the city, but they also have more generous portion sizes. Appointed Pad Thai and Massaman Curry for 2 people, had to record in a box for halves of the curry in a take-away box, as it is not done. Curry was lovely, rich and sweet, could have done with a few other cut vegetables in it. Pad Thai was cute and cheeky, what I like to do, could be with more vegetables, as someone else has already noticed, but I could not get the taste. The service was generally good, had to call trainee waiters to fill my glass, but otherwise polite staff. Decor very modern. Overall, a pleasant food experience.

Went here on a Saturday night and had a fantastic reasonably priced meal. We had a red curry and asked for it to be med/hot a was just perfect. We also had a pad thai which was also fantastic.Service was quick.The host was very friendly and helpful and I happily recommend this restaurant.

It was edible, but I wouldn't go there again. Food was less than average at best.I got satay, but I have never had satay or Thai like that, a very running texture in the sauce. Spring rolls weren't great. My partner said their meal wasn't that nice either. I would've given three stars if it wasn't for the customer service.I asked for no vegetables in my satay, I was told it would be extra and he just came up with a random figure of $5??? I've never been charged that much for no vegetables. I don't normally get charged for it. If I do, it's only around $1-2. I just thought it was way overpriced and excessive.I rarely leave negative reviews, but I did not enjoy this at all.I would not return.
