Unfortunately, a good service was not even an optional extra. there were three to our table and our table dispensed with the only in the restaurant (not even an exaggeration and we should avoid the place when it was the only quiet place among many lively restaurants). the waiting staff was rude and unaccommodating, and you could not even say the specials on the menu, and instead try again, just turned around and went away. Sensational. Having worked in Launceston for years, I was becoming a little apprehensive about the price and underlying quality of Launceston restaurants. A colleague anesthetist told me about Bellini and I have never looked back. I would liken Bellini to a mainland restaurant more so than to it's peers. The food was exceptional without charging for like a Michelin star restaurant. A common trap all too common in Tasmania. The service was attentive and relaxed, a combination which is hard to find and more difficult to replicate. The menu offers something a little different every time you go which is refreshing. Terrible service, we came here at 12 waiting half an hour until our drinks come and then someone had to ask to take our food order. the restaurant was not busy having 3 tables and had 5 employees in front of the house standing around to do nothing. we were told that there are fish that have ordered 2 ppl on our table, only to be told 5 minutes later that there was not. very disappointing, service was appalling do not recommend!
