Westgate Inn - Launceston

First visit to Launceston and needed some lunch. Food was good and the staff were friendly. Still wondering why the gents loo is across the road though.

Although this is my local, I’m ashamed to admit this is the first time I’ve eaten here. This evening was basket meals. Perfect. I have some food allergies Jonathan was so helpful checked all ingredients for me. The food was superb. If you are looking for a friendly pub with a great atmosphere friendly staff, this is the place for you!

Terrible place, rude woman at the bar, wouldn’t not recommend

Bar Lady was abusive, rude and intimidating towards my girlfriend . A regular customer tired to start a fight on me for no apparent reason as I was ordering a round. I was then kicked out even though I wasn’t in the wrong. If you’re not a regular you’re not welcome in the pub.

The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance with authentic and friendly people. The emphasis here is on fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
