The Dutch Pot Jamaican Lauderhill

Tent on Dutch pot to eat something for my father. I ordered the curry goats, rice and inherit with half steamed veg and plantains. I was lucky that the line wasn't long.

Paid $16/17 for the tiniest fish I’ve ever received from a restaurant I used my fork for comparison. It’s literally about two good bites on each side since half the inside is gone as well. Do better.

Dutch Pot has gone to the dogs! They use to be one of the best Jamaican restaurant in south Florida, but NOT anymore! Their food quality is trash! Have been a customer for a while now, but the food keep getting worse and worse. Very Disappointing…Today was definitely my breaking point with Dutch Pot when they serve me cold leftover rice! They Do Not serve fresh authentic Jamaican food anymore! Plus they’ve the worst customer service and you have to wait a VERY long time to get your food. Also, they keep raising the price, but the food quality is getting Worse! Not worth it!

Service is terrible when T is not there. Staff behave incompetent and rude. I'm usually very generous with tipping as I understand this is a stressful job that does not pay well but you are selling food and service. Get my dam order right with a good attitude or go home and enjoy unemployment. Can never support jamaican people because they lack people skills. Go somewhere else! They keep raising prices and portions are less. Terrible!!!! No stars should be an option.

Update 6/22/22 Just ordered brown stew chicken, and it taste as sweet as the plantains they put in my plate, complete disgust and disappointment. Why would you put that much sugar in brown stew, I'm a diabetic, couldn't even finish it. Whoever cooked tonight needs to get lessons or stick to the recipe. That's not how it's supposed to taste at all. They're going down hill. Or maybe I'm going on the days when a different cook is there than I'm used to Usually really good, last two times they gave me rice peas when I asked for white rice, and maybe 3 out of 40 times my food wasn't good. Lunch specials are great. Staff is respectful some nicer than others but never any issues. This is my favorite location honestly. When they're busy and the line is wrapped around the bldg they move fast. I recommend giving them a try. Check out the all day lunch specials.
