I ordered 2 Reuben sandwiches and 2 lunch combo's and a dessert and it cost almost $80 all together. The food is good, but the papusas are not worth $80. Also, my combo came with a chicken tamale, but when I got home, they gave me a corn one instead, no meat. They were closing soon and maybe ran out but didn't tell me. It's not a very fancy restaurant, but the prices are high. The atmosphere is loud.
Great Salvadorenian food and drinks. Excellent people working there with awesome welcoming staff. My friends and I used to go there all the time, and after new owner took over restaurant and converted it to Platanos. In the beginning it was more fun to go there, specially on a Friday or Saturday night cause it was a great place to go eat, drink and have fun hanging out with friends and family. We stopped going there cause in the past, they would stay open till around 11 so that gave all of us that live here in Lathrop a great place to unwind from the stress of commuting and working in the Bay Area. Than since around a year or so, they started closing at 8 so that didn’t give people or us enough time to relax and have fun. Hate to see Platanos close down but, hope New Mexican restaurant stays open later than 8 pm. That being said, I wish good luck to owner in their new location.
The stars are saying better.NOTE: This questionnaire is missing many other plates. We did also ordered fried plantains. Chicken tamales. They also serve sweet corn tamales. The pupusas they have a variety.
Great food. Takes me back to when they first opened up, still the same good flavor....
The food is always delicious and they offer a variety of choices. Kid-friendliness: Have seen families with children there and the service didn't change.
