We ordered the crab cake for our appetizer and it was good. I ordered the lamb chops for my entree it was tender and cooked as requested (medium rare). Had 4 pieces and it was not gamey. It came with a yam purée which was good. They also provided sauce and mint on the side. My boyfriend ordered the Surf Turf the filet mignon was tender and almost melts in your mouth. It was also cooked as ordered (medium rare). The lobster was a good portion. We were too full to order dessert. Food service was perfectly timed. Our server, Hilario, provided great service he was knowledgeable of the menu, checked on us regularly, and had a very good demeanor. Ambiance well lit; Not too loud/noisy which always makes dining a better experience. Seats were comfortable and the tables are not too close to each other. Price is reasonable compared to other steakhouses. One of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas Definitely coming back !
We had 5 pm reservations, we were seated immediately upon checking in. The restaurant itself has a really cozy vibe with comfortable seating. We've tried a couple of other times to come to this restaurant, but both times needed reservations because they were obviously booked. This time we made reservations, so we got the seating. Upon seating, we were immediately given water, and our menus to look over. After looking over the menu, we decided on drinks, and what we wanted to eat. Once the waiter came back to our table we placed our drink orders and our food orders. I ordered a Caesar salad and he ordered the Maui onion soup. For our entrees my husband ordered the bone in ribeye with a side of mashed potatoes that we shared and I got the surf and turf. Overall, I would say our meal was really good. Neither of us could finish our steaks, so we brought them home as leftovers. I wouldn't say this was an extremely high-end steakhouse, but it was pretty close.
I had a fantastic experience at Redwood this weekend! I highly recommend this steakhouse for anyone looking to dine downtown without breaking the bank. The cozy, dimly-lit atmosphere gave off a great steakhouse vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal, making sure our water glasses were always filled. The food was absolutely delicious and met all of my expectations. To start, we ordered the crab bisque and oysters on the half shell. The crab bisque was outstanding, packed with flavor and plenty of crab meat - one of the best seafood bisques I've ever had. I couldn't get enough of it! The oysters were also fresh and tasty. For our main course, I had the filet and my boyfriend had the massive 20oz prime rib, which was incredibly tender and easy to cut. We also shared mashed potatoes and veggies, both of which were excellent. Overall, our experience at Redwood was top-notch and I will definitely be returning in the future!
We stayed at the California hotel for my mom's birthday, and my brother and I wanted to treat her for dinner. My mom mentioned Redwood since she has been here before and liked their steak. The setting is completely different from the other restaurants at the Cal or Main Street. It had more of an upscale feel to the restaurant. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. My mom and I shared the bone in rib eye and wedge salad, and the waiter requested for our meals to be split which we appreciated! The Bone in rib eye was cooked perfectly and we loved the mushrooms and the sauce they use to cook it in. My brother ordered the filet mignon, and he did not want to share because he said it was the best steak he's had. The complimentary bread had a garlic herb butter on top. We would definitely come back!
This charming restaurant offers a quiet and intimate atmosphere with outstanding service. From the moment you enter, you can tell that the service will be top-notch in this lovely establishment. The menu features all the classic offerings you would expect from a high-quality steakhouse. The Caesar salad was fresh, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy, the grilled asparagus was a tasty side, the whipped mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, and the creme brulee was a satisfying end to the meal. Located in The California Hotel and Casino, this restaurant provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy and loud casino just outside its doors.
