He was a very nice guy and was clearly very proud of his establishment. The atmosphere was nice with blues music playing in the background. He took our orders and was very attentive while doing so and we didn't feel rushed through the process. He answered questions and made suggestions based off the small talk we had. The food came out in a the time it takes tomake real food. Not too long of a wait. We originally ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken breakfast. I ended up having to switching out the chicken and waffles for chicken fried steak because the waffle machine was on thefritz. This must have confused the kitchen. I ended up with chicken fried chicken and we received scrabble eggs instead of the hard boil eggs that were ordered. It was never corrected after bringing it to the attention of the staff. Ienjoyed the food but I think it could have been a slightly better experience. We'll try it again for dinner or lunch before I decide if it's worth adding to the eatery rotation.
Decided to check this place out today for breakfast. Met the owner Rick, he?s had the place for 2 years. Super nice guy, especially since he was actually out front doing the watering of the plants before opening. Kelsie the Manager took our order. I got the Breakfast Brisket, it was several slices of brisket with BBQ sauce on it, 2 eggs cooked well done, Smothered Potatoes which were fried potatoes with onions, fried green peppers in them. You also get a pancake with it. TheBrisket was smoked with hickory wood and was nice and tender, the barbecue sauce gave it just a little zip to the flavor. The smothered potatoes were good but needed a little bit of seasoning to give them some more taste. The star of thefood turned out to be the pancake which was nicely made and the melted butter on top added a great taste and the syrup made it all come together perfectly. Service was off the chart. They checked on us numerous times and were superfriendly.
A perfect start to my day-a giant cup of good quality coffee(with flavored creamers), a well-prepared waffle with soft butter and an egg over easy. Friendly and efficient Staff. Nice clean environment and easy parking. I?d passed many times since it?s opening but only now had an opportunity to stop-sorry it took me so long as this may be my new breakfast spot. Did I mention great background music too.
For our first visit, the restaurant was very busy, and the service was extremely slow. The buser who delivered our food looked angry. The front hosts/ cashier were nice.Food:Torta TalongCrispy Pork Kare Kare (Special)Longsilog BreakfastSotanghonOn the 1st visit, the Torta Talong was the best ever. 2nd visit, it lacked flavor. It had no taste. The sotonghon also lacked flavor that I asked for patis. The longenesia breakfast was delcious, and the pork belly kare kare was also delcious. I like how the vegetables were not overcooked.I like that they offer Filipino and Southern Food. I will definitely return again.
We came in Sunday afternoon, and the place was empty, so we got seated right away. The lady thay seated us was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered bangsilog fish, eggs, and rice) with pancake, pulled pork quesadilla, and ultimate grill cheese with Mac n cheese. Everything was good except for the fish. It was kind of bland, and I wish there was more flavor to it. Our server was really nice and kept checking back on us. She also seemed very knowledgeable about the menu which, btw is a gigantic novel, lol, such a big selection). It was hard to decide because there were so many options, lol. The bathroom was clean but stinked. Overall, our experience was great, and we will definitely be back .
