We enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, lobster ravioli, Woodfield pizza, and dessert, and everything was delicious! The bar drinks were expertly crafted, and we concluded our meal with a complimentary glass of homemade limoncello. I highly recommend this place!
The bread, oil, and seasonings were delightful, with a nice crisp crust and soft, airy interior. The calamari was light and fresh, with a great texture: the flavorful coating stayed intact, making it a must-try dish. The Peroni beer complemented the food perfectly and was refreshingly crisp, not stale at all. I ordered the Osso Bucco, which was a special of the day, but I hope it becomes a regular menu item. I’ve only found it prepared this way at two other places: one in San Diego and another in Florence, Italy. Here, it was fork-tender, moist, and delicious—an absolute must for your visit! It was so filling that I had to skip the crème brûlée. I'm really looking forward to returning to this upscale gem in the neighborhood.
Next, we ordered two appetizers, only to be informed that the cauliflower appetizer was unavailable and that it was a misprint on the menu, so we opted for just one. Shortly after the appetizer was served, our entrees arrived before we had even finished the appetizer. I had specifically requested that the calamari be omitted from my entree, but it was included, and I had to pick it out myself. While I must say that the food is generally well-prepared every time we've dined here, it was disappointing that on this special occasion, the service fell short of our usual experience. After paying the bill, my husband tried to express his dissatisfaction to the hostess in a polite manner. However, the owner intervened and was quite defensive, interrupting my husband while he was calmly sharing his feedback in hopes of helping the restaurant improve. We weren't seeking anything in return; we just wanted to share our experience. Given all of this, we will need to reconsider whether this establishment remains on our list of preferred local dining options.
I took my aunt and uncle here for dinner. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They also dealt with my family's unique personalities with grace. The atmosphere was nice but it was very noisy. The crab cakes were a big hit as was the bread with olive tapenade. But the winner appetizer was the sausage with broccoli rab. Entre wise, they had the special. Chilean Sea Bass and a risotto with scallops, lobster and shrimp. The sea bass was everybody's favorite. The risottowas tasty and very rich. I had the chicken parmesan. The flavor was good and the portion was huge. But I felt the sauce needed more kick. The presentation though was pretty unappetizing. Desert was creme brulee for me and it was perfect. The rest of the crew had gelato and they loved it. And the presentation in copper Martini glasses was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed it. Give it a shot next time you are around.
There are so many top-shelf Italian restaurants all over Vegas?Al Solito Posto (Tivoli Village), Don Vito?s (Southpoint Hotel), Esther?s Kitchen (Arts District), Aromi (Summerlin North) Allegro (Wynn Hotel). There?s also the hip subtly elegant Limoncello on west Sahara; its sprawling four-room interior, huge ceiling and fish market-style seafood display instantly captivate. Every time we?ve been there (at least five since it opened in November 2019), the food is finelyprepared?and it?s soulful too, thanks to Executive Chef Eric Gaitan from NYC. The eatery hit another home run last Friday night when we dined there with friends. Each entree more than delivered the goods?Homemade Lobster Ravioli (with alight brandy sauce), Pappardelle Bolognese, Penne Vodka Pollo Parmigiana?and our waiter was warm knowledgeable. Limoncello gets it right every time. We ended the meal on a sweet note?the Tiramisu Crème Brûlée were both dreamy?andheaded out into the summer Vegas rain, which definitely felt oddly wonderful to former Angelenos like us.
