The soft jazz music in the background enhanced the overall vibe, making it clear that this was an intimate setting, perfect for couples. One of the standout aspects of LAMOON is its diverse menu. As someone who enjoys various Asian cuisines, I was thrilled to find such a wide array of options all in one place. It’s rare to find a restaurant that successfully blends flavors from different Asian culinary traditions, but LAMOON does this exceptionally well. Whether you have a taste for Thai, Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese dishes, there's something to delight every palate. The dinner I had was nothing short of exquisite. Each dish was crafted with care, taking me on a delightful journey through Asia's rich culinary landscape. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavor was remarkable. To start, I chose LAMOON's beef satay, which is nothing less than a culinary triumph that captures the essence of Southeast Asian cuisine. It features thinly sliced, tender strips of high-quality beef marinated to perfection, infusing the meat with a harmonious blend of savory, sweet, and aromatic spices. The marinated beef is then skillfully threaded onto wooden skewers and grilled to achieve a tantalizing char and smoky flavor. The grilling process imparts a subtle smokiness to the meat while preserving its juiciness and tenderness. The presentation of the beef satay is elegant and visually appealing, with the skewers arrange artistically on the plate and peanut sauce drizzled thoughtfully, creating a dish that’s as beautiful to look at as it is to savor. Moving on to my main course, I have a penchant for crab meat fried rice whenever I dine at a predominantly Thai restaurant. Recently, I indulged in LAMOON's crab meat fried rice, and it was an exceptionally delightful experience that left a lasting impression. The crab meat fried rice at LAMOON showcases their dedication to quality and flavor. Each bite is a perfect balance of exquisite tastes and textures. Here’s why I found it so irresistible: 1. **Generous Crab Meat**: The dish is loaded with succulent crab meat, providing a luxurious quality that makes every mouthful a treat. 2. **Perfectly Cooked Rice**: The rice is cooked flawlessly—neither too sticky nor too dry—serving as an ideal foundation to absorb the flavors of the other ingredients. 3. **Balanced Flavors**: The fried rice is expertly seasoned, harmonizing savory and slightly sweet notes that enhance the natural sweetness of the crab without overwhelming it. 4. **Aromatic Herbs and Spices**: Fragrant herbs and spices, like garlic and ginger, are used skillfully to infuse the dish with enticing aromas and rich flavors. 5. **Wok Hei**: A hallmark of great fried rice is "wok hei," the breath of the wok. At LAMOON, the chefs achieve this smoky, slightly charred flavor characteristic of masterful stir-frying. In summary, LAMOON restaurant in Chinatown is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a jazz lover, or simply looking for a place to unwind and enjoy a memorable evening, LAMOON is the perfect destination. I wholeheartedly recommend it and look forward to returning soon for another remarkable dinner.
If you're a fan of Lamaii, then you'll absolutely love Lamoon. This place offers some of the best Thai flavors I've experienced in Las Vegas. The spice levels are just right, and the flavors are truly amazing. The taste is delightful, and the excellent service really sets this restaurant apart from the rest.
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a late-night dinner, tucked away in an unusual little building seemingly off the beaten path. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. And let's not forget the bear—his presence truly enhances the ambiance of the place!
The food is great. Bon Bon Sahimi scallops are a must. Try also the mango sticky rice. Amazing wine list.
Doesn't look like much from the street but inside they create a classy, relaxing atmosphere. The food here is out of this world too. Lotus of Siam's curry tastes like dog water by comparison. If you love Thai curry order the Kang Lamoon. It's by far the most flavorful curry I've had in the valley.Everything on the menu tastes straight out of Thailand. Very authentic and unique.
