Bonito Michoacan Mexican

Growing up in San Diego and spending my youth in Mexico. The food there is like the very best taste of home. Great staff and fast service. The margaritas are perfection in those original thick glasses. My favorite is the Carnitas Michoacan with the guacamole, and I always leave fat and happy.

This place is a family favorite! My dad has been taking everyone here for years. We went on a Tuesday night and I was super excited. We were actually able to park in the parking lot. If you come here on the weekends, everyone knows this food is the best and expect to park in the neighborhood somewhere. My mom love's their carnitas and my dad tries something new every time. The menu is very extensive. My sweetheart tried Mexican food on the west coast for the first time. He's from the East Coast. And he was completely blown away. He tried the tomatillo cilantro steak, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. Ask your server for advice on the food. We had two and they both gave great recommendations. Expect to pay $16-$25 per plate plus drinks. The food is high quality and the cost matches. There was live music on the Tuesday night we came. And the guy was a pro. Very good entertainer with a lovely voice. Overall five-star service five-star food.

Food was not great, The person that I was with got sick from the soup, and the steaks that came with our $30 plates of food tasted like the refresh out of the microwave. The only place to sit was right next to the live music and couldn't have a conversation with people at my table. The absolute worst thing And the whole reason for this review was the emphasis in the menu regarding refills, only one refill was allowed on soda. Sodas are $4. I'm a thirsty guy One refill is not good enough for me. And at almost $30 per person I need more than one refill, also the Weakest margarita I've had, I don't think they put any alcohol at all. I won't be coming back here. Pretty much the worst Mexican food restaurant I've been to. Parking: Very difficult to find a parking place because people are walking around taking pictures of their friends standing in front of the building. I don't see the appeal of this place other than the outside of the building Looks cool.

Atmosphere and service was great! The food was OK. Nothing special to be honest. A little on the expensive side as well. Overall, I will not return.

On vacation in Las Vegas and the family wanted Mexican food. We found this location close to where we are and started out on the walk to get here. It was a normal day of 105 and getting to the location brought instant AC relief. We cooled off a bit and placed our order. I ordered the fish ceviche as an appetizer and it was excellent. The chips came with refried beans and salsa. The salsa was good but the kids would find it spicy. I ordered a combo that had a beef taco, burrito, and tamale. I took a photo but you can see I already ate half of it! My daughter for the taco salad with steak on the side. The steak was great and the portion was generous. We all enjoyed our food and I left over stuffed and had to lay on the couch to digest after we got back!
