The ceviche was generous and fresh and popped with its jalapeno pepper pico de gallo. The cocktail, The Vampire's Kiss, how shall I say this, definitely transported me to another plane of existence. We enjoyed our desserts including the choco flan, a nice portion of flan on top of a very rich and moist chocolate cake and the Cherry and other berry tart. I like the setting of the place with its tall ceilings, and Adobe walls decorating the place.
Quiet get away. Some would say it is old and outdated, but I Love the feel of the Palm Hotel. It reminds me of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico...even has a Tobacco Shop. Restaurant/Bar on premises had fair food. Ceviche appetizer is great. Make sure to order the Cadillac Margarita!!. Then just walk back to the room and pass out!
Very limited menu with random items. Extremely long wait for food. The worst wait service I had to go to the bar just to get a refill on water. The food was like airline food at best enchiladas were 3 tortillas stacked with lots of sauce and hardly any cheese, sticky spanish rice with BAKED BEANS; and DRY chicken, oily overcooked asparagus and they didn 't even have a baked potato at 6pm! Might have been the worst meal I have ever had
This place was not what I expected, based on their previous reviews and the description. The menu was typical tax-mex American, nothing Asian fusion about it. That being said, the black and Bleu burger was delicious, the perfect size. My wife asked for a watermelon Margarita, and the bartender said she had never heard of one but managed to craft one that was very good. However the service was slow and disorganized. I feel this place is more bar centered than food centered currently. Maybe this was because it was Friday night?
