The Tack Room - Laredo

I absolutely love the steaks at this place, and the café tesoro show is fantastic! It's my favorite spot for date nights.

This restaurant stands out as an excellent choice on its own. They offer a wide variety of steaks and side dishes. I ordered my potatoes as I preferred—baked, crispy, and topped with herbs and bacon—just like my mother used to make for me. It was wonderful! I will definitely return for the best rib night.

I was initially a bit unsure about the city of Laredo, but the location of this restaurant is fantastic, situated in one of the oldest plazas in Texas, right across from the La Posada Hotel, which conveniently offers parking while their guests dine. The restaurant itself is small, with the bar on the lower level and the main dining area and kitchen upstairs. The service and drinks were exceptional. I tried the "Tight on Horse": it featured three bacon-wrapped shrimp, grilled pineapple, brandy grill sauce, and lobster bisque, along with the standout Tack Room Churrasco-Tenderloin, which was simply excellent—especially the steak! I made sure to save room for the Bananas Foster dessert, which was almost as good as the original version. I only wish they offered tableside flambé service! Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I will definitely be back!

Pricy and delicious steaks and seafood, with tasty homemade desserts (the key lime pie was deadly, it was so rich! . Wished we could have tasted the Bananas Foster! This small, intimate restaurant makes for great place to bring a date on a special occasion. The waiters were attentive and experienced and knew the menu. Try the steak churrasco, with chimichurri sauce. Advertised at 7 oz, it was easily 10.

A nice relaxing place to enjoy a great steak. The food may be a bit pricey but it's worth every penny.
