However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially the non-seafood dishes. Unfortunately, they had run out of many seafood items on their menu. The only downside was the shrimp on top of sotanghon dish, which was a bit off-putting. The prices were a bit high considering the location. Our server, Ate, was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant could use some updates as the atmosphere was not very appealing. Overall, the experience was average. Price per person: ₱2,000+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
I absolutely adore this restaurant – it feels like home and is surrounded by nature. The food is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend trying the Garlic Cabbage, Ocean Express, and Buttered Garlic Shrimp. The prices are reasonable, ranging from ₱200 to ₱400 per person for dinner. The service, atmosphere, and food all deserve a perfect score of 5. I also appreciate that they offer vegetarian options with veggies in almost every dish. It's a great place to bring kids who are usually picky eaters, as the food here does not contain MSG.
If you enjoy locally sourced ingredients, Alimango is a great choice. They offer dishes like Eopnyugyu, Guaryubyudu, and Eomdagyuhaesun that evoke a nostalgic 90's Pyeongsang Valley vibe. The restaurant has a charmingly old-fashioned feel and the service is reliable. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 4 out of 5.
