The People's Kitchen, created by the same chef behind the popular diner Golden Harvest, offers fantastic food. While there are limited vegan options available, they are all incredibly tasty. My personal favorite is the vegan biscuits and mushroom gravy. Additionally, they even have vegan chikn and fries on the kids' menu.
The restaurant has clearly labeled Vegan options on the menu and the staff are well-informed about substitutions and choices. The chicken and waffles served at brunch are delicious, as is the evening meal. However, during busy times they often run out of certain items. Make sure to try the vegan cookies and gravy as well!
This was our first time at Peoples Kitchen, a restaurant we had been wanting to try for a while. The food is very diverse and vegetarian/vegan friendly, with a limited menu that offers outstanding quality. The presentation and execution of the dishes are top-notch, and the portion sizes are just right. We recommend getting a starter and main course, and the dessert options also looked tempting. The service was quick and friendly, although it could have provided more detailed information about the dishes. The only drawback was the ambience and noise level in the restaurant. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning. While it may not be the most affordable option, the quality of the food justifies the price. If you haven't already, be sure to check out Peoples Kitchen - it's a unique dining experience in the area, especially for those seeking vegetarian and vegan options.
I have never had chicken and waffles like the ones at this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. While the breakfast was a bit pricey, the delicious food made it worth it. However, my date did not enjoy the salmon tart. Overall, it was a brunch experience costing $30-50 per person.
