I drove 20 minutes to get there because, apparently, all other Dairy Queens in the area aren’t great, and this was the only one within a 20-mile radius. Unfortunately, their dining area was closed, so I waited in the drive-thru line for 15 minutes. To top it off, their app wasn’t working, and they informed me that their machine was down, so I couldn’t even use my coupon. All I wanted was to pay my 85 cents for a Blizzard! It’s no wonder that fewer people seem to be visiting Dairy Queen these days.
This location is currently closed, and I suspect it didn't survive the impact of Covid. It was a decent spot before.
It's okay! This location is my favorite in the area, but I’m not sure that says much. The ice cream is decent, although the blizzards are often quite runny rather than thick. They've never done the thing where they flip the blizzards upside down, and if they did, the ice cream would probably just spill out of the cup. One time, my friend and I stopped in for ice cream, and the girl at the counter completely ignored my friend, who was next in line, and took the order of the guy behind her instead. When my friend pointed out that it was her turn, the girl was really rude about it. I've been coming to this Dairy Queen for a few years, and that experience really left a bad impression on me. Anyway, it's just a Dairy Queen.
