Chef Gong Chinese - Lansing

Eating is great and probably one, if not the best authentic Chinese food round. that said it is quite expensive and the staff could have been friendly warmer.

Dropped in here alone as I have not been. Read reviews before and during my meal in solitude. It is absolutely amazing to me people would one star this place out of spite. Service was brief albeit professional. Food was fantastic. I see so many reviews whining about price. Maybe you should review the menu before you order and then try to destroy someone's business with a trash review. Insane. This was one of the best meals I have had in quite some time. Bravo!

Unfriendly only one other group in the entire place and they did not have time to explain their menu or how to order to us. Looked like good food and wish we had the chance to try it.

Tried to go there for a family birthday dinner on Sunday, February 28. Their posted hours stated they would be open at 1 PM. They were still closed at 2 PM so we went to Hong Kong instead, which was delicious.Edit: Understanding unexpected things happen we checked website and Facebook for updates, and also called restaurant but there was no outgoing message and the voicemail box was full. It isn’t that they were closed, it is the lack of any effort to notify guests.

We were a group of four brown students from South Asia looking for a relaxing birthday dinner. On reaching the restaurant, all people inside the restaurant started starting at us. Even though there were many empty tables, a waiter came to us at the door and said they can't give us any table because we need a reservation to enter. Nowhere on the internet does it say that reservations are mandatory. Everyone kept staring at us rudely and made us feel unwelcome. We felt very discriminated against. We had no option but to leave. Even when we were going to our car, everyone kept staring at us. Don't recommend this restaurant at all, especially for people of colour.
