American Bistro - Lansing

I relocated here in August 2019 to attend veterinary school, and I've been searching for a place like this ever since! Whenever I crave a delicious Belgian waffle, this is the spot I choose. The same goes for their chicken quesadillas and grilled cheese sandwiches—they're fantastic! I'm excited to explore more items from their menu!

The entertainment was excellent, and the food made from scratch was fantastic! I highly recommend this place. The server was very friendly. I ordered the turkey club with homemade coleslaw, and both the slaw and the sandwich were outstanding!

The food is excellent, the craft cocktails are outstanding, and there's no fuss or gimmicks. It's the ideal place for a straightforward and honest brunch.

Horrible food. Got the white fish dip and received canned tuna salad served with slices of white store bought bread. The steak and salmon were both around 20 dollars and neither seemed like they were actual meat (dollar general quality meat). Veggies were out of a freezer and wilted beyond belief. Service was good, the man seemed like he knew that we made a mistake by going for dinner. If I could give this a negative number it would be a solid negative 5.

I liked it in general. I personally think there needs to be a cheaper menu option (we ARE in Lansing : but I liked the taste very well for brunch. Although, like I said for the price- servings weren 't as much as we would have liked. The server was great as a person but forgot orders, didn 't bring out mimosas before the food was served etc. The experience needs to improve about a notch, as well as the quantity (NOT QUALITY . I 'm giving an extra star because I know how hard it is to perfect the food industry and I appreciate you all and I know you won 't like this overall. But... You have the building blocks, you just need to make it the Bowdies Lansing of brunch and you will succeed.
