We had a lovely lunch at the White spot the other day. Food was good but what made the experience special was Julia, our waitress. She must be complimented on how well we were looked after and her friendly and welcoming personality. She was very attentive and prompt to service us! Many thanks.
White Spot restaurant at Oakridge MallWhite Spot at Oakridge Mall in Vancouver is great for getting together for several reasons. First of all, they have added some great selections to their menus. Vegetarian meals such as curried quinoa are quite good. Their hot apple pie with ice cream still remains a favourite. Great salads and, of course, non vegetarian meals as well. The restaurant is easily accessible by car or bus. There is ample free parking. It has a friendly and service oriented staff. Their helping of food is quite generous, more than what I can eat at one time. The waitress was quite happy to make two potions, one for the table and one for taking home so I did not have to manage an over loaded plate. In addition, the mall offers very good shopping opportunities. Some of the boutiques keep designer clothes well worth exploring. We are seniors who meet once or twice a year to chat and eat together. White Spot at this location has become one of our favourite meeting places for lunch. Very nice.
Had brunch here on a Saturday. We were ushered in right away and had a wonderful server who was very attentive and prompt with our order. Nice ambience, great food, prompt and friendly service plus great prices. Portions were generous, definitely better brunch place than IHOP where we were recently served smaller portions.Located inside the Oakridge mall which was convenient for us to go shopping after brunch and burn the calories off! Will definitely be back!!
We went there on a Friday evening. It was fairly busy with empty tables which were "not cleared" as usual. We were told it might be up to a 25 min wait. Someone in my group went up to the greeter to check where we were on the list as we have two seniors in their mid 80s. The restaurant greeter was obnoxious (young east indian woman) telling him abruptly that "You have only waited 15 minutes. You have another 10 minutes to go". We sincerely hope White Spot management understands that they need to treat their customers with courtesy and respect, especially when the food quality has been steadily declining over the years.
