Mulino At The Mill House - Lander

I have been a patron of this restaurant for many years. The owners have always advised me to make a reservation well in advance to ensure they have vegan options available. Following their advice, I always make a reservation online and request vegan recommendations. Upon being seated, I also ask our server for their vegan recommendations. However, tonight was the first time I was informed that the salad dressing and candied nuts in the salad contain non-vegan ingredients. I am grateful for being made aware of this, but disappointed that this was not disclosed during my previous visits. I am sharing this experience as a cautionary tale for other vegans and those with allergies to eggs or dairy. I was gravely disappointed to have paid over $50 for a meal for two, only to receive a salad with just apple slices and greens doused in balsamic vinegar and oil.

A big shout out to Joe and Angie for providing an absolutely amazing dinner at their Mulino's Restaurant in Lander. I have always been a “steak and potato” guy and usually end up in a steak house eating the same salt and peppered slab of beef. Last night, I ordered “steak and potato”, but what Joe put together was on a completely different level! The salmon dish my bride ordered was succulent and will be my order on our next visit. Service was fantastic, ambiance aligned with our date night, and the food was nothing short of amazing!!

The service was a little sluggish, but our server was friendly. It would have been nice if he had more knowledge about the dishes while giving descriptions. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get our drinks and our water glasses were empty several times. Despite this, the food was excellent and we overall enjoyed our experience.

We always consider dinner at Mulino a special treat, and last night was no exception. We four had four different entrees and all were delicious! My chicken parm was the best I've had anywhere.

The entire staff of Mulino's really try to provide a great dining experience. The menu is a bit limited but the food is excellent. The service is also very good. A great restaurant experience in a small Wyoming town.
