Great location for dog walking, sitting by the coast in warmer weather) or train spotting with the West Coast line behind. Will visit again
Having waited quite a few minutes to even be acknowledged by the waitress we then waited longer to place an order. We then waited 25 minutes for 2 sandwiches (we were the only customer ordering food) which wasn’t even as ordered. I had asked after 20minutes where it was to be told “it will be ready when it’s ready”! The once lovely “milky coffee” is nothing like it has been for decades, presumably now mostly water and/or cheap coffee. The check list in the toilet indicated that the last check was May 2020 and there was no soap, which questions how the staff wash their hands. And it’s cash only, I wonder why. This little cafe was never the Ritz, buts it now the pits
This is a nice friendly café who also do take aways. Only had drinks there but from what I have seen the meals etc look good. A nice walk by the shore is a must too
Sitting out side in the sun overlooking the sea is a great way to enjoy a coffee for me and milkshake for wife.
We ordered a pot of tea and a coffee and sat outside as the weather was glorious. When the tea arrived it was in a takeaway cup and the coffee was in a China mug. When my husband asked why the takeaway cup he was told that there were no cups available. We noticed that all customers sitting outside had a teapot and China cups. My husband tasted the tea but it wasn't great as it tasted of wax cardboard! He took the tea back and was not offered a replacement. It was mentioned again to one of the waitresses but again no offer of a replacement. I went inside to the toilet and heard a male person in the kitchen say it should be expected to have tea in a takeaway cup if outside. Very disappointed with the response of not being offered a pot of tea and that a takeaway cup was acceptable as an alternative to a pot of tea despite no other customers using one.
