Costa Coffee - Lancaster

On an incredibly busy weekend (the Vintage by the Sea event and glorious weather) there were 2 young staff on; one was school age and both had only 2 months experience they told us. The queue was long and continuous and they were really struggling. To cap matters off the lattes we had were pretty awful, worst I've had from Costa. Not the fault of the young staff but where was the duty manager who should have been there getting stuck in to support them? Wouldn't be surprised if they quit after that day if that's the level of support they get.

We had to wait for almost half an until being served! Each time with another excuse just because they are too cheap to have enough waiters and the ones that they have are too tired to actually go between the customers! The said coffee that they talk about is not worth the wait....

Visited Costa on the 02/05/2023, there was abit of que, there was four servers behind the counter. When I was asked for my order the man kept having having a conversation with his colleague I had to repeat my order 3 times once placed my ordered, I waited the only saving grace was syra who single handedly seemed to be only one who was working hard ensuring ordered was made. If it wasnt for syra I would of requested a refund left due to the lack of customer service.

All of the staff are LOVELY! Despite it being busy the girl who served me (I don’t remember her name tag but she has ginger hair) had a lovely smile on her face and was very polite. The point system is great and i’ll definitely be going back to get my free drink

Very friendly staff, place was clean and tables were cleaned immediately after customers left. Always look for a Costa just for the great coffee.
