Booths - Lancaster

Wow what an impressive modern and well stocked shop. It meets Waitrose standards everywhere. The cafe serves great food too and was hugely popular. Ignore the nearby competition support with worthy enterprise!

Long queue on Saturday. Everyone in front of us who wanted a sandwich paid premium money and then had to go back to thef ridge to pick up a prepackaged one that could have come from Aldi across the road. Want a cold drink at the till, certainly sir, go back to the fridge and pick up a plastic bottle. We tried the soup, took 20 minutes and the roll was harder than Mike tyson. Still it got one star as the soup was tasty. It could be good, its just the layout and menu is misleading and the younger staff seemed disinterested. Good store, shame about the cafe.

We tried to order sausage and chips for lunch and were told that chips were only for take away. I then asked if we could order hash browns and told yes, so I ordered a portion of them and when the meal arrived there was one hash brown on the plate. I would not lunch here again and instead of enjoy a cake afterwards, we went somewhere else.

Great service and all you can wish for even got our Lancashire Sauce here! Cafe was very busy but great selection
