First off, the place is a dumpy, run down store, in a dumpy, run down strip mall— next to a massage parlor. Got there before noon, left just before 1 and there were a total of 3 customer groups—5 meals total, for the lunch ‘rush’ Couldn’t really read the cut up menu pasted on wall, but I asked for Lunch specials,,, she said no,,,, I ordered a bol- kogi which came with rice, a slaw like salad and some stale, tasteless kimchi. The beef bol kogi was way below mediocre, the kimchi bland and wilted and the slaw like salad, tasted like it was made a month ago. Also, the beef, not only was not very flavorful, each piece had chunks of fat and gristle. Ohhhhhhh and the sodas we got, were not cold and they had no cups or ice. What a disappointment— especially foe $45 for 2 Blech
If you know about authentic Korean food, then you know this is the place to go. If you want atmosphere, go somewhere else. You come here for the good korean food. This lady is great, if you are polite. This is also a market, the prices are on point. Parking: Every time I go, there is parking.
The Beef Bulgogi was SUPER!! I lived in South Korea for many years and KOREAN BBQ MARKET was like being back in Pyeongtaek! The amount of food for the price was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!아줌마, 점심 도시락 맛있어!
The lady was so sweet and even gave my friend a bigger than normal portion of japchae! Also gave us complimentary kimchi! Food was delicious, I’d 100% come back
It was like having Mom cook your lunch for you. The jap chae and bulgogi were delicious and the portions were generous. Both dishes were cooked fresh. The atmosphere was quiet; perfect for a lunch date if yummy Korean food is on your agenda!
