Persimmon Hill Farm - Lampe

This place is incredibly welcoming, and their products and facilities are outstanding! The muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls are among the best I’ve ever tasted. We also enjoyed some fruit picking, which was absolutely delightful. I can't recommend this spot highly enough!

I always enjoy visiting this place. The drive here is peaceful and beautiful, leading you to the berry-picking patch. They have stations set up outside where you can grab your buckets for picking berries, and when you're done, you can head inside to weigh and pay for your haul. As you walk in, you can't miss the bakery, and the muffins are absolutely fantastic. Inside, they also offer a small selection of their homemade products, which are definitely worth trying. My personal favorite is the raspberry habanero jam. I truly love this place, the muffins are amazing, and the people are just wonderful.

They provided small buckets that hold up to 5 pounds of berries each, and you can pick as many as you'd like, paying by the pound when you're done. Today, we paid $4.50 per pound, and the berries were absolutely delicious—far superior to anything I’ve ever bought in a store. Everyone there, from the staff to the other visitors, seemed genuinely happy to be there. The atmosphere is charming, relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. This is not a massive, overly commercialized attraction, and there is no admission fee. They have a small restaurant/shop where you can buy a range of sweet treats, including the most amazing blueberry muffins, scones, tarts, and giant cinnamon rolls. There’s a large window in the shop that overlooks part of the berry farm, as well as another window showing the kitchen where the sweet treats are made. Additionally, as you walk towards the shop, there's a small stand featuring unique handmade birdhouses and feeders, crafted by a friendly gentleman who was happy to answer our questions. I will definitely return, and I’m also excited to check out their website to place an order when I get back home.

We absolutely love this farm and we enjoy our visits every summer. We like to get to the farm before 8am to beat the crowds. Besides picking delicious, fresh berries, the best part is of course the yummy items from the bakery. Their huge blueberry muffins (called thunder muffins) are delicious! Well, everything is delicious! It usually takes us about an hour to pick about 5 pounds of blueberries. To make it easier to carry the buckets, the farm provides ropes to put around your shoulder. We?ve found it even more comfortable to bring a camera strap or duffle bag strap to hook onto the bucket.

My kids look forward to going berry picking every summer it's so much fun. Also you can't leave with out a thunder muffin ?
