However, when the food was served and tasted, our family did not find much satisfaction. This was during a three-week family trip and this restaurant was unfortunately one of the worst three we dined at.
While it was a bit expensive, it's not surprising given its proximity to the London Eye. I really enjoyed their Gyoza! We also indulged in a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream to celebrate my birthday.
My mother and I had dinner at Ozu tonight. My mother is a bit picky when it comes to food, as she has a shellfish allergy and is not a fan of raw fish or Japanese cuisine. However, we were running out of options as most of the places we walked past were offering fried snacks or heavier meals. I managed to convince her to give Ozu a try. The staff were incredibly accommodating, guiding her through the menu and helping us choose dishes that would suit her preferences. We ended up ordering a variety of small dishes for a light meal, all of which were delicious, particularly the miso soup (I love miso soup!). The restaurant has a minimalist decor but feels spacious and peaceful. I was happy to be there instead of the other places we had passed by. As we left through the exit onto the County Hall terrace, we enjoyed a quiet view of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament, away from the bustling crowds below. Overall, I found Ozu to be a much more enjoyable dining experience compared to other restaurants in the South Bank area, and I look forward to returning with someone who can sample more of the menu.
