When I sat on the table, I saw the cracks on the tablecloth and was already impressing. they immediately brought some flat bread and soned (that we did not want, so we did not take along anyway) and we waited for about 20 minutes until the waiter came and picked up our order. since no one came to our table, we decided to take into our own hands and had to call them two times until they finally took over our order. we had the moussaka and a Helloumi salad. the salat had so much edgy, I couldn't even eat it (grilled halloumi was good, not sure that they were open when they got the wrong) and the moussaka was not the balanced burst that I am used to! it was actually quite bland. Argan was with men when we settled on Saturday evening at our meal. the service was fast and friendly with a flowering atmosphere, as everyone started their nights out. we sat outside (to feel even more than we were in the country) so that we could observe the people as we ordered the Lebanese plate to begin our meal. venn street is perfect for people to watch, they get all kinds. when the food arrived, it was delicious, well seasoned and the perfect amount. on the plate was house, halloumi, chicken wings, carrots in seasoned, spicy green beans and wine leaves with salat. it was all meant seriously, but esp the halloumi. Argan was bustling with people as we settled down to our meal on Saturday night. The service was quick and friendly with a buzzing atmosphere as everyone began their nights out. We were sat outside (to feel even more like we were abroad) so we could people watch as we ordered the Lebanese platter to start our meal. Venn street is perfect for people watching, you get all sorts. When the food arrived it was delicious, well seasoned and the perfect amount. On the platter was houmous, halloumi, chicken wings, carrots in spices, spicy green beans and vine leaves with salad. It was all seriously yummy but ESP the halloumi. I mean, who can do halloumi wrong?!We had chicken skewers to share for our main and the chicken was really good. Full of flavour and moisture on a bed of cumin rice. It was lovely. The only downside was that there was the smallest amount of sauce to eat with it. After we had eaten, we proceeded to smoke shisha until they moved us into the tent at the back of the restaurant. After our second bottle of wine was finished, our chatter had died down and the clock passed we stumbled home. The evening cost us quid, money well spent on wine, shisha and excellent food.

It was quite bland actually. Even to pay we had to wait. Not going there again, especially with all the good choices in Clapham.
