I would recommend it for such a group, but not as a target for only vegans. they had just one all the vegan menus that was really great, but since then back to the confusing menu where they look like a (w) next to red snapper tacos. we had the enchiladas, tacos and plantain tostados, which could all be made vegan. they were good and generous portions. our children enjoyed drinking the chichi mirada, a sweet Peruvian drink. the exterior seats in the back are beautiful and very family-friendly. it's a little strange that they don't have print menus, so start their dinning experience by watching their phone (or in my case borrow someone else's phone) to the menu.
The menu and the reviews here are misleading. there are no vegan options at this place, unless they like a rice, bor and tortilla dish for $20. each article on the menu with a w next to it has either meat or cheese in it, and its vegan option is to remove the animal product instead of replacing it with a vegan alternative. and they calculate the original price for it, and it is no cheaper place. Overall I do not recommend this place.
I had nowhere else. it's on the expensive side, but everything in the opposite is and I think that's a better quality. the cauliflower tacu tacu was great, but my man and I liked the black quinoa balls not as much as others valued. the menu is a little confusing, the dinge are marked w that have meat in them, what I suspect is that there is a vegan/veg version, but I would appreciate more clearly what means to be veg.
My man and I eat here several times in the month; it is our favorite place to eat in l’ville. many dishes have vegan options. the black bean quinoa balls appetizer can be made vegan, and it is excellent! the cauliflower saltada tacu tacu is vegan as it is, and the tacos and enchiladas can be made vegan. byob. the owners and the staff are all super nice. great place to sit outside when the weather is beautiful. only one note: the menu could be a bit confusing when they are new in el tule. products with a w are not already vegan (except for flower cabbage), but can be made vegetarian or vegan.
We had a great experience here! Jack the owner is very accommodating. We are a vegan couple that dined here with an omnivore couple. 80% of the dishes can be made vegan and/or gluten free. The Tacu Tacu vegan style was delicious, it was so good I ordered another half order. They have a hot vegan drink called the Champu de Quinoa which had quinoa and pineapple in it, very interesting. We highly recommend this place!
