Tacoma Cheong Guk Jang - Lakewood

Probably the best Korean restaurant you can find. Personally beats everything in Lakewood, Federal Way, and Lynnwood for me. Every dish I've had there has been a hot and the side dishes are not only good but generous. Been coming for 2 years and no complaints.

Had the fermented tofu soup and pork bulgogi. All delicious. As well as the side dishes. Went again and maybe they switched cooks but it was very disappointing this time. In Fall 2023 it was good though.

There are many Korean Restaurants in Lakewood and near by Federal Way, but I don’t feel the food and service compare to THIS. My family and I have been going here for a few year now. Boyfriend has high standards and enjoys this one because it’s the closest to what he had at home in LA. We’ve had everything on the menu at some time or another and every dish is tasty. Black goat casserole is my go to. They pretty much know that’s my order. I also recommend the Fish Row Blood Sausage. 10/10 on quality service.

Their food is very delicious, they have the marinated crab (raw) if you know what that is. But other than the owner, the rest of the staff seems to have attitudes, especially that one lady which is the reason I used to be their regular customer but not anymore…. She (not the owner) blamed me for ordering the food wrong while the whole table heard me order it right.. And I could never forget her attitude… So I stopped coming here after that and also I think partially it was a language barrier so better not try again to be blamed as a customer lol
