Los Chingones - Lakewood

What an amazing place! Troy Guard and his team have done it again. This restaurant takes a different approach from his typical upscale venues. It has a much more relaxed and casual vibe, yet the food remains exceptional. The salsas are incredible, offering a fantastic variety of flavors to please every palate. The menu is filled with a wide array of options, making it hard to decide, as everything looks so delicious! This spot is definitely worth a visit!

The communal table in the center was very appealing, with its colorful chairs creating an inviting atmosphere. I also noticed an upstairs area that wasn't open yet tonight, as well as a patio outside. The service was friendly and prompt. Happy Hour isn't available yet, and I'm not sure when it will start. If you're interested, the restaurant is conveniently located across from the movie theater in the mall, right next to The Yard House.

So, why did I give it 4 stars? While everything tasted fantastic, there were too many toppings and garnishes on the dishes. I appreciate a restaurant's desire to have a unique menu, but it overwhelmed the natural flavors of the perfectly cooked meats. I often found myself taking the meat out of the tacos and burritos just to enjoy its flavor without the distractions.

The food here is so bomb! The tortillas are on point. (The are not like the rest the Mexican restaurants in the area that have the thick, white, and awful tortillas. The salsas are so delicious. Hot with flavor: not to mention the drinks mmmmm so yummy! Great place for children(kaids meals priced perfect and all ages. I highly recommend this place! We will be returning soon!

This place was a great little spot we didnt even plan to go to its right next to yard house and the wait at yard house was too long so we checked out this spot and to our suprise it was great they were very attentive and let us try a couple of the salsas at no extra cost the pineapple one was so good a guy whom was helping out our waiter nick suggested it definitely different but we enjoyed it and he let us bring some home too overall im super glad we ended up here i definitely want to go back even though we live all the way in aurora
