Casa Mia Italian - Lakewood

Les Christie here. It's been a long time since we had a family dinner there. Was so enjoyable today 26 Feb Wish Pat was still alive to enjoy with us. Thank you for taking the food home as we used to. It was a big step for me, and I will now be able to do more for a meal.

Good customer service, the Tortellini the white sauce needs more taste, the pizza one of the best

The atmosphere was nice the workers are polite. Some of the food is over priced. I had the classic salad with chicken there was hardly any salad and a lot of chicken so there wasn't a balance. The chicken was over cooked. Over all it tasted good but my tongue kinda hurts from the dry extra crispy chicken. I might come back and trying some of their other food and maybe change my rating.

We came in for dinner on a Wednesday, and although the restaurant was pretty empty, the overall service was pretty slow. I ordered the large classic spaghetti with basil pesto sauce and it was delicious, but very oily. I couldn't finish due to the large puddle of oil at the bottom of the bowl. There were different types of pasta noodles mixed it with the spaghetti, which didn't bother me, but I thought was funny. Sadly my husband did not enjoy his bean dish. He said the sausage was good but the beans tasted off. Overall it was just an ok meal, nothing exciting.

Our server Julian was absolutely fantastic. Its fast service and attention to detail has really improved the culinary experience. Our glasses were always full and there was no waiting time for service. The classic Italian food in the style of New York was just what one would expect from a restaurant that has been here since 1952. I had the lasagna that was mildly salty, but soooo cheesy that made it for a perfect meal. A variety of complementary real Parmesan cheeses have been made available that were only tips. You also have an unlimited spaghetti meal Sunday to Thursday for $8.99. This is something a very hungry person could enjoy. The atmosphere seemed to be oriented to an older amount, but there is plenty of fun for all ages. You serve wine and beer here for those who choose to participate. 5 stars are definitely well earned.
