Silver Ring Cafe - Lakeland

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 15 years, and my most recent visit was just as excellent as my first. Thank you for being a beloved establishment in downtown Lakeland.

According to popular opinion, the Silver Ring Cafe in Lakeland is known for having the best Cuban sandwiches in town. The quality of the Cubans (and sides) has been consistently exceptional since they first opened in 1947. Unfortunately, they have recently lost their lease and will either have to relocate or shut down.

The service at this restaurant is always excellent. I have a soft spot for the women who work there. Today, on 12/28/21 at noon, I placed a large order for my family to enjoy at home. Despite being busy, they handled my order with efficiency, along with walk-in customers and those dining in. They truly prioritize customer care, and many regulars are greeted by name when they visit. This place has the charm of a classic mom and pop shop, and it's a must-visit for authentic Cuban sandwiches and other comfort foods like hawn and yellow rice, and black bean soup. I've never had a bad meal here, although I do wish they stayed open later in the evening.

No real Cuban sandwich. salate and tomato. offers hot or cold. hot ordered, but they only pressed it for a little, everything inside was still cold. they have a stuffed potato on the menu and I asked if it is like a papa rellena, and they had no idea what that was. but nice people.

Fantastic Cuban and chicken and yellow rice!! If you are downtown looking for a quick meal, look no further. The food is excellent, it's quick, and you won't be disappointed!! I've heard they may be closing soon due to leasing issues. Don't miss the opportunity to try this great local business that has been a staple of Lakeland's for over 35 years!!
