Ovation Bistro Lakeland Priority Seating

We used to love this restaurant; however, this was our first time back since COVID. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend the french onion soup. However, the balance of our experience was terrible. Many of the servers hung out at the bar and were quite loud definitely carrying the noise into the dining room. My husband and son ordered the prime rib, medium. One came out medium well the other order came out past well done. It was the end cut that had definitely cooked for quite a while. I ordered mahi mahi, which was quite dry. Based on our total tab of $140 for food and tip I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

Service was poor, took over 20 minutes for most of the party to get their drinks and while the food took longer than expected (not a big deal) it came out cold (big deal).

Not sure whether they were under servants, they were obviously not willing to put our party of 6. we have taken a place on the terrace so we can sit. the tables had to be changed by us and then cleaned by us! after some time we realized that we didn't even assign a waiter! After a talk with management we were finally waiting for it. the manager tried to make it better by saying that the appetizers were on him, but when the bill came, we had to remind him to disarm the accusations. just a big hate, not quite what we expected.

That was in order. the waitress was unhappy. Three times wrong.

Large selection on the menu. the restaurant is clean. service was friendly and prompt. leave the cheese dip attizer. we all enjoyed the 9-year-old Picky-Esser!
