Shakers Diner - Lakefield

Great little place where locals meet, Sundays are busy by 10 am, you can reserve a table. Full breakfast special less than six dollars!

The beans though!!!What a wonderful meal. My partner and i stopped in after returning some rental equipment next door. And let me tell you, we are sure glad we did. I had the fried bologna and eggs, which were a delight. My partner had the canadian omlette sandwich. Good portions, quick service, what else could one want. Their coffee was spectacular as well. Will certainly come back for a club house! Thanks for the great breakfast.

Great stop for a good cup of- fresh ground coffee, it's always fresh because it's so good that it moves fast, but don't mistake this diner for coffee only, there's a great menu choices which will satisfy most palettes. The servers work for you with a smile. Our first time there must go again soon, love to try other choices. There is a patio anyone would enjoy. Our first time there today, will not be the last!.

Lovely little breakfast and lunch location. We popped in for a late morning snack.D had a fritter and I a honey bun. Wow, nothing like I would have expected! I'm constantly impressed with food options here in Lakefield. Still places we have yet to try. Even in a time where some places struggle to be able to hire enough staff, we are constantly impressed with the food and service we receive in this gem of a town. Thanks Lakefield!

I was in town visiting for the long weekend, and my party of 4 wanted to come here for breakfast. I was the first to arrive. I went inside and stood at the door. At least 3 staff members saw me standing there, but no one acknowledged me. After waiting for around 5 minutes, a staff member walked by me to clear a table, and immediately put a reserved sign on it. She still did not acknowledge me. I had to finally call out to her and ask if a table was available. She was unsure and kept calling over to her mom (owner for clarification. After waiting another few minutes, and no resolution or assistance, my party left and went to Jack's down the street where we had prompt service and a lovely breakfast. So, unless you make a reservation, or are a regular, I wouldn't expect decent service from this place.
